The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.
The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Filipino SM Beermen (18-6) on the court of sixth ranked Chinese Macau on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Macau 114-84. It was a good game for American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-92, college: Sacramento St.) who led his team to a victory with 43 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American guard Dewarick Spencer (192-82, college: Arkansas St.) contributed with 42 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Macau's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Puerto Rican center Peter Ramos (222-85) replied with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for SM Beermen. Macau (13-10) moved-up to fourth place. SM Beermen at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Macau are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Zhuhai (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. SM Beermen will play against CLS Knights (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Surabaya. Sixth ranked Indonesian CLS Knights (13-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat (12-12) 91-90 in the game for the sixth place. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Doug Herring-Jr (191-87, college: Utica) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists and Maxie Esho who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. CLS Knights have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 13-12 record. Saigon Heat lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 12 games lost. CLS Knights will play against league's leader SM Beermen in Manila in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saigon Heat will play at home against Singapore Slingers (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
In the last two games of round 24 Mono Vampire beat Macau on the road 107-102. Westports MD lost to Singapore S. on its own court 73-88.
The most impressive performance of 24th round was 23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals by Jerran Young of Singapore S..

Macau - Mono Vampire 102-107
There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Thailand Mono Vampire (9-15) beat on the road 6th ranked Chinese Macau (13-10) 107-102. Mono Vampire players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American-North Macedonian Romeo Travis (198-84, college: Akron) who added 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Dewarick Spencer (192-82, college: Arkansas St.) with 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-92, college: Sacramento St.) scored 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mono Vampire maintains eighth position with 9-15 record. Macau at the other side dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Mono Vampire will play against Westports MD (#9) in Kuala Lumpur in the next round. Macau will play against Zhuhai (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) who added 23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Winston Shepard (203-93, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Singapore Slingers maintains third position with 13-9 record having seven points less than leader SM Beermen. Westports MD at the other side keeps the ninth place with 15 games lost. Singapore Slingers will play against Saigon Heat (#7) on the road in the next round. Westports MD will play against Mono Vampire and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
